I have completed my degree in 2017 or before, can I apply?

Yes, you can, but you need to understand that you would need to have or develop a solid reason why the gap exists. We have worked with several UPSC aspirants who underwent our courses after 3 – 6 years after completing their degrees and started successful cybersecurity careers.

Also, note that few companies might consider profiles with huge gap after education. So, you need to make use of the opportunities that show-up.

 

I am still studying; can I apply for this course?

No, this is a very intensive course and students need to put in approximately 6 hours each day for studying, practice and assignments.

 

What type of educational background should a student have to enroll?

While we have assisted several students irrespective of the degree, the industry would mostly prefer students with the following degrees

BE/BTech (Any branch, yes including Mechanical, Civil & Electrical)

BCA

MCA

BSc (E&C, CS)

MSc (E&C, CS)

 

What are the prerequisites for this course?

Good communication skills

Completed Degree 

 

What do I need to attend this training?

Good Laptop (at least 8GB RAM and i3 or above processor)

Very good internet connection (no compromises in this. We highly recommend not to rely on mobile data network)

 

Do I need to have coding/programming knowledge to start this course or to get a job? 

No, coding knowledge is not required for this course or to start a career in cybersecurity. But it would help you to advance your career if you know a scripting language. 

 

What is the mode of training?

Majority of the topics are delivered as Online Instructor Led Training (Live online classes)

We also provide several recorded videos, notes, lab manuals and quizzes for most of the modules.

 

What happens if I miss a class?

You will get the recording of the class plus you already have several materials (videos, notes, lab manuals, quizzes etc.) on SOC Experts Learning Center for each day’s topic.

 

Do we get the recordings of the classes?

Yes, recordings will be made accessible after the class.

 

How does my typical day look like as a SOC Experts student?

2 hours of live classes

2 hours of lab practice or assignments

2 hours of self-study

1 hour of pre-reading (for next day’s class)

20 minutes of Mock Interview

 

It sounds very exhaustive; will I be able to cope-up?

We would like to call it all-inclusive rather than exhaustive. But do not worry, our curriculum and activities will make it fun to learn. 

Answer without sugar coating – Of course it is exhaustive, you think getting a job is easy in this highly competitive world? However, the hard work is only for first 2 months. 3^rd month will be little relaxed.

 

I do not have time for assignments and other activities, can I enroll?

No, as explained earlier it is an intensive course and without completing the assignments/tasks/activities and projects you won’t get the full advantage of the course. Assignments and Projects are what turn you from a cybersecurity student to a cybersecurity professional. 

 

How many assignments and projects are there?

CCL has 10 assignments and 4 mini projects. There will be several lab activities and practices sessions apart from assignments and projects.

 

How many days per week?

The classes will run Monday – Saturday. Occasionally we might need Saturdays too. We try to keep your Sundays completely free of classes or assignments. 

 

Apart from classes, labs, assignments and projects are there any other activities as part of this course?

Yes, we do

Do students work in groups?

Yes, we form small groups (3 members in each group) who will coordinate with each other on daily basis. It will help if you join along with your friends in the same batch.

 

Who are the trainers?

Every trainer is currently working in the industry. Most of these are our alumni. They have been trained for several months to become trainers and would have handled at least 2 batches.

 

What is S3?

S3 – Student Success Specialists, who will be in constant touch with you, work on your areas of improvements. Conduct mock interview and be there as a strong support till you reach your goal of getting a job.

 

How about Labs/hands-on/Practice?

Every student will be given access to SOC Experts Cloud Lab access for practice. We strongly encourage students to build their own labs too. For sections that need hands-on practice, you will get 2 hours of practice sessions each day.

It depends on the company. The lowest package could be 2.4LPA and the highest package for a graduate from SOC Experts is 8.6LPA

 

 

What is the Fees for SE-CCL?

The fees is INR. 30,000 including GST.

If I am unable to attend the classes after I make the payment, can I transfer the course to my friend?

Yes, but with-in 7 days after the batch starts.

Can I change batches?

No, but you can request for a refund within 7 days and join other batches if seats are available. After 7 days, no refund.

 

I want to enroll with my friends, so can we choose the same batch?

Yes, but please ensure all of your friends join the same batch. Each batch is identified by number (E.g.: CCL1, CCL2 etc.). 

 

Are there any discounts given t students?

If you and your friends join in groups, we give the following discount

1. If 3 students join a batch together, each student will get INR. 1000 off.

Will I get a course completion certificate?

Yes, you will get 3 months course completion certificate if you have submitted all assignments and projects?

 

Is any global certification included as part of CCL?

No. You get the course completion certificate from SOC Experts. 

 

Should I take any global certification separately?

Studying for a certificate is completely different from studying for a job. So, we strongly recommend not to enroll for any certification program while you are undergoing CCL. Once you start your career, you can focus on acquiring certifications.
